I have heard the name of many NGOs in Bandarban hill district. But, I have never seen them provide social welfare services in our areas. An NGO named Humanitarian Foundation has been providing schooling opportunities to the children  in the villages of Thanchi upazila of Bandarban district since 2004 through establishing primary schools at the village level. Many children from the schools have completed primary education, and now they are studying in college, and university in Bandarban, Chittagong, Dhaka, and other cities in Bangladesh. I am a burning witness of their social welfare works. I feel true love in their charity actions.

I’m Nu Mong Prue Marma. The name of my village is Young Hre Shey Para. There has never been a school before in my village. A primary school was established in our village by an NGO. Later, I came to know that  the name of that NGO is Humanitarian Foundation (HF). I was admitted to nursery class in this village primary school, and I completed class five from that school. I passed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Upasshak hostel run by the same NGO in Bandarban town. After graduating with a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Notre Dame College, Dhaka, I am studying at Jaganath University, Dhaka, in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). I studied in HSC with scholarship money from HF’s Talents project, and am studying in BBA with the same scholarship money.  I could not have come to this stage without the kind support of HF.  Half of my dream has been fulfilled.
